Case manager creating environmental consultant team, vetting environmental legal team on behalf of Client creating resolution and remediation strategy to dismiss litigation due to Santa Ana State Water Resources Control Board’s Cleanup and Abatement Order. Case resolved out of court due to remediation strategy. Site currently under remediation.

ACS Habitat Management | Weed Management Plan

Bridgeport, CA
Environmental coordinator and case manager overseeing and drafting Weed Management Plan on behalf of ACS for Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center. Managing biological teams performing botany surveys on 342 acres of MCMWTC and GIS mapping of vegetation types for final report.

Public-Private Mitigation Bank

Inyo and Mono Counties, CA
Project lead visioning establishment of public-private mitigation bank. Coordinating with agencies to provide alternative funding and labor sources to land managing partners like BLM and USFS to help preserve, restore, enhance and establish habitat that supports biodiversity and watershed function, in light of federal funding gap.

Diesel to Solar (D2S) Initiative

Middle East and North Africa (MENA)
Financed by UNDP, on behalf of Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), Amer Barghouth, Geode Environmental’s Advisory Board Chair, launched a regional initiative to promote private investments in off-grid and distributed renewable energy systems, specifically small- to medium-scale solar-diesel hybrid systems. Conducted a thorough market assessment to identify financially feasible opportunities and business models for diesel to solar hybrid projects for four MENA countries. Provided advisory services and feasibility studies to off-grid enterprises in the tourism and agricultural sectors that were converting from diesel to solar PV for their electricity and water pumping needs.

Sustainable Energy Finance Facility

Cairo, Egypt
For the Egypt Sustainable Energy Finance Facility, Amer Barghouth, Geode Environmental’s Advisory Board Chair, managed a multidisciplinary team of six international experts and local staff implementing a $30 million European Bank for Reconstruction and Development-funded commercial credit line to finance energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in Egypt. Prepared work plans, drafted feasibility studies, oversaw quality control procedures, and monitored the performance of the Facility. Promoted the facility to potential borrowers; supported the local participating bank in project identification, assessment and origination; and built the local participating bank’s capacity to run clean energy credit lines.
